Sean has become a renowned restauranteur in New York City. He co-founded Grovehouse, a hospitality company in Brooklyn which has produced two hit Italian restaurants in Williamsburg - Lilia & Misi, both of which received three stars from The New York Times. Also Misipasta, an Italian Specialties Company that helps others create inspiring dining experiences. Feeney recently launched Fini, a Brooklyn pizzeria that has 3 locations in New York. He is also managing partner of Hometown BBQ and Red Hook Tavern based in South Brooklyn.
Feeney is regarded as an innovative restaurateur and a compassionate leader by emphatically challenging the way things have always been done. His obsession to find the perfect balance between art and commerce has allowed an exciting young company help make everyday a good day for others its mission. Sean is the Chair of the Food Education Fund, a non-profit organization supporting NYC high school students through experiential learning programs in culinary arts, hospitality and entrepreneurship. He is a co-founding member of the ROAR, a non profit organization that supports the well being of the people who make up the hospitality industry in NYC. Feeney also sits on the board of the FDNY Foundation , which helps the NYC Fire Department better protect New York. Together with his wife Maria they raise Biella, Declan, and Conor in Brooklyn, NY.
